Description Training for Museums and Exhibits
Audio Description Solutions offers two
levels of training workshops for museums and
exhibits:
Workshop for Docents
Delivering Live Audio Description
2 consecutive days
This hands-on training workshop features lectures,
discussions, and exercises to prepare as many as 12 docents
to deliver live audio description for visitors who are blind
or have low vision.
Workshop for Writers
Preparing Audio Description for Recording
3-4 consecutive days and follow-up monitoring of the
organization's first audio description efforts
This workshop features lectures, discussions, and exercises
to teach "the rules" of audio description; what to describe;
how to edit legends, captions and descriptions; when to use
shortcuts; and as many "exceptions" to the rules as
possible.

when training writers with its cost effective program of
proactive training and follow-up monitoring of the
organization's first audio description efforts. After the
initial period of training and monitoring, we are also
available for additional performance coaching and evaluation
of ongoing audio description work.
